Kerry's path led her from an art making childhood in New Jersey to studying art in college. She was inspired by the work of Jim Shrosbree, her ceramics teacher at MIU in Fairfield , Iowa. After graduating, she lived in Oakland, Ca, where she exhibited her handbuilt ceramic work in several galleries in San Francisco. She also began her career of teaching art to children in the Bay area. Coming back to live on the east coast, Kerry's art direction evolved from painting on clay to painting on canvas. "I love the spontaneity and freedom i have found in painting. The flowers in my garden, still lives and special places found on walks inspire many of my paintings and collage work". Kerry's love of travel have taken her to many beautiful places including New Zealand, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the Caribbean and New Mexico. She always brings along her paints! Kerry's clay work and paintings are found in many private collections throughout the United States .
